We are currently taking on cases in the following areas:
- Possession and Eviction
- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Unlawful eviction when client attempting to regain entry to the property
- Disrepair cases where there is a serious risk of harm to the health or safety of the individual or relevant member of the individual’s family
The majority of the housing work we undertake is funded by the Legal Aid Agency and you must be eligible for Legal Aid for us to assist you under this scheme. To be eligible, you must qualify financially and your case must be in scope.
There are certain types of housing cases which are no longer in scope for Legal Aid and we are therefore limited as to who we can help under this scheme. We have additional, limited funding from the City Bridge Trust to provide specialist legal advice on housing issues and we may be able to assist you under this funding stream if you are not eligible for Legal Aid – usually if your housing matter is out of scope for Legal Aid.
Our resources are limited and therefore it is important that you telephone us first so that we can assess whether we are able to assist you. We operate on an appointment only basis and cannot see you if you come into the office without an appointment. If we are not able to assist you, we will do our best to signpost you to an agency who can help.
