HANWELL COMMUNITY LIBRARY
Last year Ealing Council announced that it would not continue to run its branch libraries after April 2020 and put forward Hanwell library along with other branch libraries out for community management.
Ealing Law Centre bid to manage this library and has been successful. We are excited to announce that we have reopened the library for the community. Find all information about Hanwell Community Library on their website.
In 2018, we got an award for best non-profit legal aid provider in the country. We love the library as it is but we know it can be even better and do so much more. We want to see it develop as a thriving community hub.
Books and reading will always be at the heart of Hanwell Community Library but we aim to ensure that there will be something here for everyone.
Our aims include:
- Basing Ealing Law Centre at the library and continuing to provide free legal advice and representation
- Help with online applications and form filling
- Homework and study groups
- Book club
- Mother and toddler reading groups
- Literary events
- Poetry group
- Talks on a variety of subjects
